A sonic culture exists wherever a social group orients its activities around a particular set of practices that has to do with sound, listening/hearing (or non-hearing), and/or the use or creation of sound instruments.
Global sonic cultures seem to be a massive topic to talk about the relationship between sonic cultures and current social issues. It refers to different knowledges involving sciences, philosophy, geography. I regard it as an interdisciplinary course and find it more and more interesting in the process of exploring it.
